Dr. Spencer Owen

I was born and raised in Fenton, Michigan, in a house of three boys. I attended Flint Powers Catholic High School where I excelled both academically and as a student athlete, playing hockey and lacrosse. I went on to the University of Dayton where I studied and received a bachelors of Science in Biology. From there I attended the University of Detroit Mercy and received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

I have always had the desire to help others, and dreamt of becoming a doctor one day. Having parents whose career revolved around serving others, my father being a paramedic firefighter and mom being a teacher, played a big role in what I wanted to be. What separates dentistry from other professions is the opportunity to get to know patients and their families on a personal level. I recognize that going to the dentist is not something most people look forward to, but I take pride in prioritizing patients' needs, and making each patient comfortable and more at ease in my chair.

In my spare time I love spending time with family, including my new baby niece and nephew. For fun I enjoy playing hockey, golf, reading, watching movies, and fly fishing. A fun fact about me: I have an identical twin, who is also a dentist!
